Mark Otway, Independent Consultant and Chairman, Alsbridge

A retired senior Accenture Managing Partner, Mark has experience of leading a significant outsourcing business and has a consulting background in the wholesale, retail, insurance and government sectors.

For ten years from the early 1980’s, Mark was a key individual leading the successful implementation of the Department of Social Security’s Operational Strategy – a major programme of computerisation. The project was needed to prevent the increasing degradation of the social security benefits system in the inner cities, to transform service to the claimant and to drive up efficiency and effectiveness. He led Accenture’s outsourcing business in UK, then across Europe and subsequently for a series of industry sectors world-wide, taking the business from infancy to profitable maturity.

Since leaving Accenture, Mark has carried out a number of consulting, interim management and non executive director assignments. He is currently Chairman of Alsbridge, a fast growing outsourcing and shared services consultancy.
