Richard Wilson, Independent Consultant


Richard Wilson is an independent business continuity and crisis planning expert.  He has in-depth knowledge and understanding of both the business and IT issues gained from over 10 years experience of global business continuity projects within a wide range of industries. Richard has a detailed and practical knowledge of BS 25999 implementation and audits and can help clients with business continuity exercises (ranging from desk-top reviews through to large-scale scenario-based crisis management simulations) and training (covering all aspects of the business continuity six stage cycle).

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Richard was the principal business continuity advisor at Reuters where he was responsible for developing and implementing the business continuity and emergency response plans and procedures for Reuters mission critical services to the global financial community.

Richard has a comprehensive knowledge of LDRPS, ISO 27000, ISO 9000 and ITIL and is a certified business continuity practitioner (MBCI). He is a qualified trainer and is authorised to teach the 5 day BCS/ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Business Continuity Management.
