Orange  - Head of Finance for IT and Networks
Stephen Condon

 

Reporting directly to the VP for Finance in the UK with indirect reporting to the VP for IT & Networks (sitting on both Finance and  Senior IT&N management teams) Stephen was responsible for:
  • ownership of the IT & Networks financial reporting, forecast processes, annual budget, business plan preparation, benchmarking and business efficiency reporting
  • management of the process to deliver and delivery of matrix reporting for monthly results and forecasts with relevant parent “chantiers”
  • management of integrity of all financial analysis used for supporting functional decisions and demonstrate linkage to the underlying drivers and financials (e.g. cost to provide a service and benchmarking)
  • commercial assistance for “bold move” analysis (primarily outsourcing & network dimensioning/technology enhancements), key contract renewals and supplier disputes
  • accountability for c£1bn of Opex & Capex spend
  • management of project appraisal and reporting for IT & Networks
  • commercial assistance and reporting for Networks, IT and Operations functions
  • implementation of cost reduction opportunities including offshoring, outsourcing and restructuring
  • formulation of and validation of scenarios within 4 year Strategic Financial plan
  • management and development of a team of 20 finance professionals.
