Global engineering company – outsourced IT contract renegotiation  
Alsbridge

 

The client has global operations focused on developing high specification products for clients in the aerospace, automotive and manufacturing sectors. Significant IT activities are conducted in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

The client was 5 years into a 7-year US$700m global outsourcing deal and wanted to extend the relationship with the supplier, provided a range of contract improvements could be met. The Alsbridge plc UK team supported the client throughout the renegotiation process, including internal strategy preparation and briefing, negotiation with the supplier, liaison with legal counsel, drafting of master service amendment and the development of new governance provisions.

As a result, the client was able to reach agreement with the supplier on all principles in just two months. The renegotiation enabled the client to proceed with the supplier on improved and more sustainable terms.
